A Raider seizure of POC facilities: how did it happen?
The PMC issued a statement that its office building had been seized. The head of 2 companies, whose office premises are located in the same facility, agreed with the information provided. Those who blocked the passage did not provide any documents or information.
Nadezha Rozhkova (the general director of Kapitel, managing director of Transcapital) claims that it was a raider attack on a building with office premises of the above-mentioned companies. In addition, the office of the PMC is located in the building.
It has been suggested that the raid took place in the classic nineties style. Unknown persons burst in, interfering with the employees’ work duties. No one could get into the building and pick up their belongings, the entrance was blocked.
Rozhkova also said that those who blocked the entrance to the premises on Krapivensky Pereulok did not even give a hint about where they came from and whose interests they represent. Only a lease was approved, but there were no documents with outsiders, the lease with the PMC and that was all.
The attempted raid took place in the evening on 5th of August 2020. Melnikov, who works as the secretary of the commission, said that the premises were seized by “strong men”. They called themselves tenants. The owner of the premises claimed that there were no lease agreements and that it was a big lie. However, the words were ignored. The police did not interfere with the incident, citing the civil nature of the dispute. By the way, one piece of information states that the unknown persons introduced themselves as volunteers and new tenants.
According to Melnikov, the group left at about 5 am Moscow time. The “volunteers” still did not leave their positions in the building. Law enforcement officers just watched what happened.
Melnikov also clarified that the POC administration wanted to meet for a meeting at 13.00 Moscow time, but the situation with access to the building has not changed. Therefore, the team gathered in another place to resolve issues and draw up a plan for further action.
